Impact & Sustainability
Our TMH olive oil, proudly produced by our family’s plant, Huilerie Biologique Baccouch Lotfi, embodies all the traditional qualities you expect from premium olive oil. Sourced directly from our home region, this oil reflects both the rich heritage of Tunisia and our commitment to giving back to our community.
By investing in local impact projects, we strive to create meaningful change where it matters most. We take full responsibility for our CO2 footprint, working tirelessly to reduce emissions wherever possible and addressing supply chain (scope-3) emissions directly.
With every bottle of TMH olive oil, you’re not just savoring high-grade, authentically Tunisian olive oil—you’re also contributing to real, measurable impact at a local level. Together, we’re protecting the environment, supporting our community, and celebrating the very best of Tunisia.

Impact Projects
Investing in Solar Energy
We are committed to sustainability and renewable energy in every aspect of our olive oil production. That’s why we’re actively investing in solar energy to make our factory in El Jem, Tunisia, completely energy neutral by 2026.
This initiative involves installing state-of-the-art solar panels to power all factory operations, from processing and bottling to storage and packaging. By leveraging Tunisia's abundant sunlight, we aim to reduce our carbon footprint, lower operational costs, and set an example of sustainable production in the region.
Our transition to solar energy is not just about powering our factory—it’s about aligning our business with environmental stewardship. By 2026, we aim to create a production process that not only respects our planet but also inspires others in the local and global olive oil industry to embrace renewable energy solutions.
This project is part of our broader vision to integrate sustainability into every part of our work, from waste management to water conservation, doing our small part in creating a brighter future for the El Jem region and beyond.
Water Management
Our water-management projects focus on promoting efficient and responsible water use in our local region. With droughts becoming increasingly frequent in Tunisia, we’re investing in renovating old wells, constructing new ones, and implementing affordable irrigation systems. These efforts aim to support farmers in diversifying their crops beyond olive oil while addressing the growing water crisis.
Plastic Waste Collection
Plastic waste management is a major issue in Tunisia, particularly in our home region near El Jem (Mahdia Province). We’re launching a local waste collection service to tackle plastic litter. Our team, with two trucks, will collect trash—primarily plastics—and deliver it directly to recycling and sorting facilities.
While efficient recycling remains a challenge in Tunisia, we aim to do our part by keeping streets and fields clean and protecting the environment in El Jem and nearby villages.
Offsetting & Compensation
While it’s not possible to eliminate all emissions within our operational scope, we are dedicated to mitigating our emissions as much as we can. To achieve this, we actively invest in global impact projects that help offset our remaining emissions.
All the compensation projects we support meet the highest international standards, being either Gold Standard or Verra certified. These projects are carefully chosen for their measurable and lasting contributions to environmental restoration, renewable energy, and sustainable development worldwide.
Our commitment to carbon offsetting reflects our broader mission to balance the environmental impact of our operations while contributing to global efforts to combat climate change.
